Chief Technology Officer
Kei Mizuno (Ph.D.)
Dr. Kei Mizuno earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from Osaka City University Graduate School of Medicine. During his graduate studies, he served as a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, conducting research on fatigue mechanisms and objective fatigue assessment methods at Osaka City University and RIKEN. He has led numerous research and development projects on anti-fatigue solutions in collaboration with industry, focusing on pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, and living environments.
As a team leader in the Japan Science and Technology Agency’s “Compass to Healthy Life Research Complex Program,” he developed the new comprehensive health evaluation system, named Health Functions Quotient®. Through collaborative research with various companies, he has achieved numerous patent applications and created anti-fatigue and health-promoting solutions. He has also achieved the development of objective methods for evaluating daily health and fatigue through advanced vital sensing measurements and data analysis techniques. As part of a multi-generational anti-fatigue and health promotion project, he leads a consortium for creating wellness initiatives for children, promoting wellness research for pediatric and adolescent populations.
